Flying Kiwi Creative is a Charleston, South Carolina video production company specializing in video editing and content creation for brands, agencies, and creators. With over a decade of NYC production experience and New Zealand roots, we bring fast turnaround, sharp storytelling, and a calm, collaborative process from first cut to final delivery.

Founder, Luke Versalko, has spent more than 15 years working in production. Starting as a PA with Jalbert Films, moving through the ranks at companies like Hearst, Mashable, Blue Chalk Media and Whistle Sports to leading production at Ambassador. Luke approaches every job with a practical, logical, and efficient mindset. The birth of Flying Kiwi Creative was a natural progression with the goal of bringing this no-nonsense approach to video production directly to clients locally in Charleston or nation wide — providing an end product on time, with accuracy, efficiency, and creativity.

Specialties

  • Editing is our bread and butter. We handle any type of media and transform it into what you want — YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, horizontal, vertical. We craft stories around content for all platforms and formats.

  • We edit feature documentaries and series for networks like Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, and Apple TV. We’ve worked with teams from around the world to craft docs for the big screen. Whether the project has spanned a few days, months, or years, we’ve edited all types, locally here in Charleston, or remote.

  • From high-profile celebrities to local legends, we tell your story. Working together on pre-production planning, extensive research, cinematic interviews, stylized b-roll and editing to suit the documentary and format, our primary focus is bringing authenticity and emotion to life.

    We bring years of global experience working throughout all phases of production. No matter if we’re working with a full crew or as a one-man-band, we apply our signature efficient and polished approach to any project and any budget.

  • We bring a story-driven approach to event videography — parties, festivals, weddings or anything in-between. Whether it’s a wedding video for the creative-minded couple or intimate and emotive event coverage, we believe there is a unique story to be told.

    P.S. my wife runs a full service event planning business (Marian Frances Events), so we find this service to be a truly organic fit.
